Next, get a big saucepan and bring some water to a boil, then place in the peppers and let them simmer for about an hour, turning them occasionally to mix the spice into the sauce. You will also find other variations of the chili recipe listed online. If none of the ones listed here are your favorite, then by all means cook your own. But keep in mind that the amount of heat each recipe calls for is different. Also keep in mind that the amount of liquid each recipe calls for varies by brand. Some companies have a thicker consistency, and others have a thinner consistency. You can easily adjust the heat level of any chili recipe by simply adding more or less liquid to the sauce. If you are looking for a true chili recipe, then look for one that calls for dried chili peppers, such as Old El Paso or Chili Adobo. While these two sauces are famous, it is possible to substitute dried habanera peppers for the habanera pepper.
